Finn Thor Esrason, DMD. Born in Reykjavík, Iceland, moved at an early age to America and moved back to Iceland when he was 19 years old. Met his wife a few years later, worked in several fields including house building construction, masonry and as a commercial fisherman. Finn, his wife Hulda and their 2 sons, Esra and Elvar moved to Colorado where Finn took Pre-Dental courses, was accepted to Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, graduated and was asked to stay on as part of the faculty. He bought an existing practice, resigned his position at Tufts a few years later so he could focus on his family and the practice. After the boys went to college and their careers, Finn went back to Tufts and joined the faculty there again. The boys had moved to Hawaii and after visiting them there a few times, Hulda, Finn and their 2 Shih Tzus, moved to Hawaii to be with them and their growing families. Now they’re proud grandparents and loving it. When they moved to Oahu, they bought a dental practice and finally closed it right before the first Covid closure and joined the Aloha Smiles Dental office – loving not having to run a business anymore. Besides working Finn loves hanging out with his boys and their families, barbecues and beach get togethers (when allowed).
